Whitney Grove Condos, New Haven, CT
Whitney Grove Square was the first mixed-use project in New Haven, built in the late 80s, and retains its premier status to this day. In addition to an office tower, storefront retail, and a large garage across the street, there is a condo portion of the project, both on Temple Street and in a small cul-de-sac off it. 36 units fall into two groups: large units of 2600 sf and up, with mostly open floor plans, and smaller units of about 900 sf. Both are served by an underground garage. The larger units are townhouse style, and many include elevators, while the smaller ones are ranch style. The property abuts Yale University, and all the conveniences of modern life are accessible within blocks.
