Pearce RE Transaction Brings New Business to Route 1 in Orange

Barbara L. Pearce, Chair and CEO of Pearce Real Estate, is pleased to announce that Senior Commercial Broker Carl G. Russell has leased a retail building in a prime location along the Boston Post Road/Route 1 corridor in Orange.

In the lease transaction involving a 5,250-square-foot building at 507 Boston Post Road, Russell represented the landlord, New Post Properties, LLC. of Woodbridge, while the tenant, Metro Mattress, was represented by Richard Weiss and Richard Kaye of Julius M. Feinblum Real Estate, Inc., of Plainview, New York.

Metro Mattress has a network of more than 50 showrooms and warehouses in five Northeast states, including Connecticut and Massachusetts. The company was founded in 1978 in New York and, according to its website, it is committed to providing its customers with the highest quality mattresses at tremendous value. Metro Mattress is the leading mattress retailer in New York state and offers a broad selection of brand-name mattresses to fit all customers’ needs. Company officials are excited to expand their dedication and unmatched customer service in Connecticut. The Orange location will be their eighth retail store in the state.

Carl Russell is a member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) and a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM). He is a nationally known instructor in the CCIM program. In addition, Russell was an assistant adjunct professor of Real Estate at New York University. He is also a past president of the Greater New Haven Association of REALTORS®.
