Barbara L. Pearce, Chair and CEO of Pearce Real Estate, is pleased to announce that Senior Commercial Broker Carl Russell has recently added to his comprehensive list of awards and recognitions in his long and distinguished career.
Russell was one of two people honored this year nationally and locally for their decades of service as instructors for The CCIM Institute, an affiliate of the National Association of Realtors. Certified Commercial Investment Member is a prestigious designation for experts in commercial real estate who undergo rigorous coursework, maintain an impressive portfolio of experience, and take a comprehensive exam. For 45 years Russell has provided instruction to those real estate professionals throughout the country.
According to the CCIM website, “CCIM Designation remains the global standard for commercial real estate professionals,” and denotes a completion of “advanced coursework in financial and market analysis and demonstrated extensive experience in the commercial real estate industry. CCIM Designees are recognized as leading experts in commercial real estate,” and they are taught by instructors, like Russell, “who are themselves industry leaders.”
“It’s been an honor and a privilege to teach for the CCIM program for this long. It’s been a joy to impart knowledge to incoming students and watch them flourish in the marketplace,” said Russell, who was honored at a recent meeting of the CCIM Institute Connecticut Chapter at Amarante’s in New Haven.
The event was attended by about 40 people, including Pearce, who celebrated Russell’s milestone. “Carl is the epitome of the best in a commercial real estate agent—professional, knowledgeable, rooted in our community, and always helpful to everyone. His clients and coworkers would all endorse this well-deserved acknowledgement of his career,” Pearce said.
Also honored at the installation dinner was Stan Gniazdowski, president of Realty Concepts, Inc. in Guilford, for his 40 years as a CCIM instructor.
In addition to Russell’s CCIM designation and instruction, he is a member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR). He has won numerous awards and honors for his work and accomplishments in the commercial real estate profession.
